WE'RE DB 'ing' it all the way! The REMOTE WAY FORWARD...12 January 2021 (by admin) |
As you are well aware we're working very hard behind the scenes to make sure your child's learning continues - IT'S OUR NEW and EXCITING DB 'Learning remote learning pupil platform portal' (we call it DB for short!).
It helps us cover all your online learning & resource requirements (it's all within our school DB Primary network).
We're creating a remote 'home classroom' experience with DB Primary and the staff are setting regular extensive curriculum resources. It's all for your child!
- We're creating class community pages, which your pupils can access remotely. Teachers can create and easily assign activities within a matter of seconds.
- Teaching staff can upload and embed teaching video resources as and when necessary.
- Teaching staff can encourage collaboration and communication in a safe environment with blogs, forums and emails.
- Teaching staff can instantly look at assignable activities from the school 'Learning Library' for pupils to complete remotely from home
- Teaching staff are including high quality, computing, maths, English and topic resources as and when they deem necessary.
- Importantly, the age-appropriate DB SCHOOL design ensures children need little/no assistance from teacher/parents to use it effectively (hopefully!). Children can learn independently.
- Teaching staff are educating your child/children to be responsible digital and technological citizens.
- REMEMBER TEACHING STAFF ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR CHILDREN 9AM TILL 3.15PM - DB IS A CHILD/TEACHER PLATFORM.
- REMEMBER THAT PARENT/TEACHER CORRESPONDENCE SHOULD GO THROUGH STAFF YEAR GROUP EMAILS PLEASE (not the DB pupil platform). You can find all the details on the school website - 'CONTACT US' section on the website.
- Remember that schools up and down the country are learning all the time using various different school platforms. I'm sure at times you'll be frustrated and understandably fatigued...'It's not working!' 'It's not loading!' Please pick up the phone and speak to us or email your child's class teacher and we'll do our very best to help.
KEEP DB 'ing' it children!
