We have had some confirmed covid cases in Y2 recently, as is to expected when children return to school.

The school is currently monitoring the situation closely and keeping you informed accordingly.

Public Health England are fully aware, and test & trace authorities also.

Of course there is NO NEED to isolate (unless your child is displaying clear symptoms and you get your child tested and they test positive). Please however be vigilant and monitor your child closely.

Risk mitigation at St. Bernard's for Y2 will now impact on certain forthcoming Y2 events in school - sadly, we've had to cancel the Wednesday morning 9.15am Mass on 15th September (it will take place at a much later date for Y2). We've also had to unfortunately, cancel the forthcoming Y2H class assembly which was due to take place on Friday 24th September. It will be rescheduled accordingly. It's all part of our mitigating risk in-school procedures. 

It's all very disappointing of course but we wanted to keep you fully in the Y2 picture so you're aware of what's going on behind the school scenes. You may want to get your child tested also - it's very much your call. School can provide some 'lft' kits if needed.
