Please DO NOT stop your car immediately outside school and wait for your child to quickly get out of the vehicle and run into school (start of the school day issue). It causes other cars to stop quickly and is clearly dangerous. Park further from school and walk your child to St. Bernard's. It's the safe way.

We ask that NO VEHICLES should be waiting immediately outside the school entrance at the end of the school day. We have had reports of several cars waiting and today we had to ask some parents to move their vehicles on.

Finally, every little helps and it's important to mention POLLUTION and car engines idling for long periods of time outside the school premises on the Wake Green Road (parents often wait for significant periods of time). Please be conscious of children walking up and down the Wake Green Road and ask if the engine needs to be switched on. Again, it's about raising awareness and thinking of all the children in our care.
