Advent is a season of the liturgical year observed in our faith as a time of expectant waiting and preparation for both the celebration of the Nativity of Christ at Christmas and the return of Christ at the Second Coming.

It is a spiritually significant and special time of the year.

To signify this very special season, we are inviting ALL the children to wear an item of purple (or wear a purple outfit) on MONDAY 29th NOVEMBER in school.

It will be a sense of 'purple oneness' and will start our special school journey.

The word 'Advent' is derived from the Latin word adventus, meaning 'coming'
