ATTENDANCE MATTERS - letting you know...16 December 2021 (by admin) |
As part of our ongoing attendance matters strategy, we're keeping you informed about your child's attendance statistics. It's good to be in the know. We aim to send stats out to lots of parents at the end of each half-term.
You may well receive a letter outlining your child's attendance since the September start.
DO NOT BE ALARMED because we know covid related issues have greatly affected and impacted on pupil attendance and that is completely understandable for some children. Some children have genuine and understandable reasons for absence as well (often medically related). However, it's still good to know your child's attendance etc. because you may want to inform your child's doctor, consultant, support agency etc. and get further support - it can be used as evidence for the benefit of your child.
It is important to stress however that attendance concerns without the appropriate authorisation, medical evidence, no phone calls from parents, patterns of absence etc. will be acted on and our Birmingham Authority spotlight on attendance procedures followed because ATTENDANCE MATTERS.
Please keep us informed - it's about working in partnership.
Thank you for your cooperation parents.
