MITIGATION of RISK - St. Bernard's & covid

    6 January 2022 (by admin)

Of course it continues to be in the national and global news...covid. We hope you all managed to stay safe and well during the recent holiday break. THE CHILDREN HAVE RETURNED IN THEIR SMART UNIFORM ATTIRE, are READY for LEARNING and are happy to be back.

Rest assured we still are very much still focusing on daily mitigation of risk. Parents often ask us, so it's good to point out:

*automatic hand sanitiser units are in every class and situated throughout the school

*children are regularly encouraged to wash hands

*we still adhere to slightly adjusted school timings (including breaktimes/lunchtimes/end of day)

*we have 'phase only' Mass gatherings and assembly gatherings are currently not whole school

*we are not allowing parents/adults within the school building for the short-term for masses/assembly time etc. (this will be reviewed accordingly).

*extra cleaning takes place organised by our building supervisor

*we aim to keep movement around school to a minimum

It's all about doing our best regarding mitigation of risk.

Please continue to work in partnership with us, your child's ATTENDANCE is crucial. We will continue to update you with attendance statistics as and when so you are fully aware of attendance issues and how covid, illness, absence can impact on learning. Genuine illness is perfectly understandable - it happens.

The GOVERNMENT & NHS guidance is readily available, so follow the links on the school website regarding advice.
