It's in the NATIONAL NEWS all the time - school attendance and how COVID is impacting significantly on school attendance. We like to keep you in the weekly picture because SCHOOL ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
CONGRATULATIONS to Year 5 for recently winning the best attendance across a year group (extra BREAK year 5!). They achieved a collective 95.5% for the week EXTRA BREAK FOR YOU!
Whole school attendance was 93% compared to the fft primary school national of 89%. St. Bernard's school attendance is up from the previous week.
Please note that school continues to work hard in partnership with parents. YOU MUST INFORM US IF YOUR CHILD IS ABSENT FROM SCHOOL - note that we are fully aware that the vast majority of times, school absence is completely genuine. We know this happens.

*completes announced and unannounced home visits
*informs parents half-termly about attendance statistics as part of the local authority initiative (Spotlight on Attendance)
