Y4 VISIT - PLACES OF WORSHIP - Gurdwara visit 29/6/2228 June 2022 (by admin) |
It's about respect for other FAITHS - it's what we're all about at St. Bernard's - that's why our school is so rich in culture, background and diversity. Year 4 lead the way, make a difference and show respect and understanding of another FAITH.
They visit a local GURDWARA on Wednesday 29th June - Sikh place of worship.
What is the significance of the Gurdwara?
A gurdwara, meaning the gateway to the guru is the place of worship for Sikhs, however people of all faiths are welcomed in the Gurdwara.
What an opportunity to explore, ask questions and gain insight. Y4 are going to have a fantastic visit.
ALL CHILDREN WILL NEED TO COVER THEIR HAIR AS A SIGN OF RESPECT PLEASE. GIRLS CAN WEAR HEADSCARVES, AND BOYS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR EITHER A BANDANA OR A BEANIE LIKE HAT (no caps please).
Enjoy the visit Y4.
