2nd SUNDAY of ADVENT - our journey continues4 December 2022 (by admin) |
Another busy week ahead...
In Matthew’s Gospel (MT. 3:1-12) on the 2nd Sunday of Advent, John the Baptist asks us to ‘Prepare a way for the Lord’. We are invited at this time to prepare our hearts for the coming of God’s Kingdom. To make room and increase our capacity for Christ to be alive and active in our lives. The Gospel asks us to prepare our hearts. It highlights that it is not enough to partake in the cultural practices of our faith; God wants our whole hearts.
Again, in school this week, our children will continue their journey with Christ - we will light the 2nd candle of Advent in school assembly and Mass - The Bethlehem Candle of PEACE.
We will have daily prayer, weekly Advent assembly, weekly Mass, traditional carol singing, Nativity production preparations, Christmas dinner social gathering, community carol singing at a local residential home, grotto gathering with our PTA etc. All part of our busy ADVENT journey...
Please pray for the children this week.
