Prayer is an important way to experience God - it's about communicating with Him. By bringing our problems to God, or asking for forgiveness and help, we become close to Him. Prayer is powerful - we can speak to God in our family time.
We can all talk to Jesus...
Dear Parents,
Over the coming weeks, you child will come home on a Friday with a Class Prayer Book. This is an opportunity for you to spend some time as a family thinking about what you might like to pray for.
You can write the prayer (your or your child) into the prayer book. You can colour, decorate or include a picture of something you wish to pray for.
The prayer might be one from your own faith, a prayer of praise or thanksgiving, or a prayer for someone in need.
The book should then be returned to class on a Monday to be shared with the class.
We are one family and we hope to support each other through praying for the needs and intentions of others.
