BIG THANK YOU - REFUGEE WEEK

    16 June 2023 (by admin)

Mrs. Pickles, our LIVE SIMPLY Lead wants to pass on a HUGE thank you to all concerned. Mrs. Crehan, our RE Lead also wants to pass on a HUGE thank you to all. Every little helps...

We have been aiming to LIVE SIMPLY and ACT unselfishly this week as we focus on REFUGEE week.

We started the week listening to an actual REFUGEE talk about his journey in life. His journey to Birmingham from civil unrest in his home country. He talked about family members he had sadly lost. 4 years to get to Birmingham! "It's my safe place" he stated.

He presented a humbling whole school assembly. The children and staff simply listened in complete awe.

Stories of REFUGEE HOPE have spurred us all on this week - made us realise how incredibly fortunate we all are. The children have brought various items in during the week, the children have been raising money galore (all their own ideas!), we have had drink and cake sales, non-uniform today etc. THANK YOU FOR YOUR AMAZING INPUT PARENTS.

    A tremendous effort indeed!

Our REFUGEE WORK, our CHARITY WORK, our TOGETHERNESS continues!
