4680 days! WOW! That's pretty amazing really! Mrs. Kendrick has worked at St. Bernard's Catholic Family School for 4680 days (195 school days a year for 24 years!). Incredible really!

And now Mrs. K is venturing off into the school sunset and is starting an exciting career as an Assistant Head Teacher. Her new school are fortunate to have her.

We wish her every success and THANK her for her love, care, joy, and dedication. A BIG part of St. Bernard's school family.

Can you believe that in September 1999 when Mrs. Kendrick started, the no 1 hit song was Lou Bega's Mambo No 5! 'Ladies and gentlemen, this is Mambo Number Five. One, two, three, four, five. Everybody in the car, so come on, let's ride'

We also say adieu to Miss O'Neill, who is furthering and forging her career at new horizons. Going into the exciting and challenging world of Year 6! She will be greatly missed by all staff and pupils. Caring, kind, a listener, always putting other people first. Started here in September 2015. The number one song in the charts then was...by a certain band called One Direction!

Mr. Dazzling Dalzell has had a shorter time at St. Bernard's but still as equally as valuable. He swims off to another local school to LEAD swimming, sport, PE, exercise, health, fitness etc. etc. He will be missed and we wish him every swimming success! Swimming is his life, it's in his blood, he's so incredibly passionate about it - we need more people like Mr. D pushing the boundaries of health and fitness in school establishments! Good luck and...on your marks, get set...GO!

Mrs. Bahakham also furthers her career with a wonderful promotion opportunity. Again, only here for a short time but has made such an impact. Sensitive, dedicated, team-player, caring and kind. She will be missed by all. We wish her every teaching success as she skips off to another Birmingham school - committed to teach in a rich and diverse city - committed to teach our local children. Goodbye Mrs. B.

The school family of St. Bernard's continues to grow and we wish our staff all the very best as they start their final week...adieu, adieu, parting is such sweet sorrow! Don't forget to say goodbye to them...

And YES, the children have already MET our new staff members who are joining our wonderful school family from September 2023. Transition day was a great success this week!

Mrs. Summerfield, Mrs. Wright, Miss Cartmill and Miss McCarron join our school family. We're so fortunate, happy, thrilled and excited to have them on board...
