END OF TERM ARRANGEMENTS - MEDICATION off site please

    19 July 2023 (by admin)

We are soon drawing to an end of another academic year. So much has been acheived and yet there is still so much to do. Part of our transitional process is making sure you have PUPIL MEDICATION returned.

If your child has any MEDICATION on the school site, it will be handed over to you by staff members on the final day of the school term.

At the start of next academic year, we will send reminders out to parents to send ANY PRESCRIBED MEDICATION (inhalers/epipens) back into school. You will be expected to fill in the usual 'parental agreement for school/setting to administer medication sheet' at the start of the school year.

Thank you for your full cooperation parents.

Remember, we will have spare 'emergency use' school asthma inhalers on site 2023/2024.

Remember, we will have a school defibrilator on site 2023/2024.

Remember, we will have spare Nurofen, Calpol, and Piriton on site 2023/2024. These will ONLY be administered if we get permission from a parent/s via phone call. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SEND IN THIS MEDICATION AT ALL. IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED BECAUSE SCHOOL HAS IT ON SITE.

Remember, we will have x9 members of staff trained for First Aid at Work and Paediatric certification 2023/2024 (3 year certificate).

Remember, we will have a school nurse available 2023/2024 (Nurse Jo) for talks about your child's general wellbeing, hygiene and care.

Remember, we will have a Family Support Worker available 2023/2024 (Maria), who can advise and signpost - all about your child's overall wellbeing (and valuable support for families).

It's all about doing our very best to safeguard the children in our care.

    Thank you parents.
