    Y3 - MULTI-FAITH understanding - it's the rich diverse city of Birmingham

    6 October 2023 (by admin)

It's what makes our special city so super special - the diverse nature, diverse communities, diverse characters and cultures. It's the BRUM BRILLIANCE! It's the BRUM WAY!

Year 3 are on a mission to deepen their understanding of our rich and diverse multi-cultural city - the wonderful city of Birmingham.

On the afternoon of Thursday, 16th November, our Year 3 children will be visiting the Buddhist Vihara in Ladywood.

We will have the opportunity to explore this Buddhist place of worship, to learn about the key beliefs of Buddhism and also about important celebrations and rituals. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about another faith as part of our school commitment to respecting others and recognising the diversity of our school, our city and the wider world.

The cost of the trip is £6.00 and it is within school hours. The children will leave school by coach at 12:30 after having an early lunch and we plan to return by 3.15pm. Children should wear their usual smart school uniform for this visit.

For trips to go ahead we rely heavily on parental contributions and honesty about financial situations. If you have any questions please come and speak to us in Year 3 or to Mr Foley or Mr Stephenson.

We would be grateful if you could please provide consent and payment for this trip through parent pay by Friday 10/11/23.

    Yours sincerely,

Mrs. Crehan, Mrs. Greenaway and Mrs. Smith - Y3 Staff Team
