WE SAY IT REGULARLY...
If your child is absent from school for unauthorised periods of time, expect us to call and visit.
Of course we fully understand there are genuine reasons for school pupil absence but if we are not kept fully informed, school will act accordingly.
If there is concern about your child's attendance, the Education Legal Team actively involve themselves - the ELT work closely with St. Bernard's monitoring pupil attendance.
The ELT has issued several penalty notices since the start of spring 2024 - they are very active! 15 issued since the start of spring 2024.
IT'S ALL ABOUT YOUR CHILD because GOOD ATTENDANCE MATTERS. EVERY WEEK WE SAY IT...because it DOES MATTER!
