Note that school made a call to the listed GAS WORKS company this morning to try to get an update regarding the 4-WAY TEMPORARY TRAFFIC LIGHTS. Please be advised that they are located on a VERY DANGEROUS section of the road (near the zebra crossing).
Some cars, driven by members of the public, were witnessed driving through red lights. Impatient and clearly wreckless driving!
Some car drivers were witnessed not waiting at the zebra crossing point for pedestrians to cross safely, and simply driving over the crossing area. Clearly dangerous and endangering the lives of children and parents alike!
WE HAVE PASSED ON OUR SAFETY CONCERNS ACCORINGLY.
PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU ARE USING THIS CROSSING AREA. THE LOCATION OF THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS IS CAUSING MAJOR DISRUPTION AND IS DANGEROUS.
Please keep your child with you at all times when crossing this zoned/traffic lights area.
If your child makes their own way home, please reiterate the message of road safety.
