ATTENDANCE, ATTENDANCE26 June 2024 (by admin) |
School continues to work hard driving the school attendance agenda forward. Every little helps when it comes to your child's attendance. Good attendance means opportunities for life! All the research into school attendance shows this.
The school office staff work hard contacting parents. First day phone calls are made because pupil welfare and parent partnership is vitally important.
Home visits are conducted as and when necessary. Again this is all about pupil welfare and supporting parents, because family situations are so very different.
The Authority and Education Legal Team work hard making sure they are involved in school establishments. They are active within St. Bernard's and issue penalty notices as and when they deem necessary.
Monday attendance meetings are held as often as we can in school. This is to support and challenge accordingly because again, every situation is completely different.
The school nurse is involved in supporting/advising parents when it comes to pupil illness and medical advice.
It's all about your child's school attendance and St. Bernard's doing the best for your child, and that includes listening, helping, and supporting parents etc.
Thank you parents.
School also fully understands reasons for genuine illnesses because children do get ill, are unwell at times, can catch 'bugs' easily. This happens in school environments. Just keep school fully in the picture please.
