ADIEU, ADIEU, parting is such sweet sorrow...

    2 July 2024 (by admin)

Yes, we say farewell to a few members of staff soon. It is always a poignant time when colleagues leave to pasture new. We say adieu to Mrs. Downing and Mrs. Crump.

Mrs. E Downing will be leaving us to become a full time Year 6 teacher at St. Mary's Catholic Primary School in Harborne, Birmingham. This is such an exciting venture for Mrs. D and we wish her every educational success both on a personal and professional level. We will certainly miss her quiet determination, caring spirit, and organisational skills and qualities. Mrs. D has been a huge part of our school family for 20 years (20 YEARS!). Adieu, adieu, parting is such sweet sorrow! Keep in touch Mrs. Downing.

And we also say 'fare ye well' to Mrs. A Crump who ventures to pastures new after an incredible 333 years service at St. Bernard's...sorry, I mean 33 years! A true dedication to the children and spirit of St. Bernard's Catholic Primary School. She has played such a pivotal managerial role, especially during lunchtimes, looking after thousands of children throughout her professional time here. We certainly will miss her! Her joyous character, caring passion, and personal individual characteristics will be missed by all...adieu, adieu, parting is such sweet sorrow!

And of course, joining the 'ONE FAMILY' in September 2024, we have:

Mrs. Healy - Mrs. Healy will be joining us from Hollywood Primary School, where she has spent many years teaching year 6. We very much welcome her vast experience to St. Bernard's.

Mrs. Dillon - Mrs. Dillon will be joining us to work in collaboration with Mrs. Crehan in year 3. Again, we very much look forward to having Mrs. Dillon on our staff family team.
