MAKING A DIFFERENCE - inspiring news! She's one of our own!

    15 July 2024 (by admin)

A HUGE, BIG, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, MASSIVE, SUPER well done to one of our amazing pupils...Radhika (KS2). She's been MAKING a DIFFERENCE over the weekend!

She gave up some of her time by volunteering on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July 2024 at Sewa Day UK.

Sewa is a universal concept, which involves performing an act of kindness without expectation of reward. It is performed selflessly and without ulterior motive. Sewa is a sanskrit word and is embedded in the Dharmic traditions of ancient India. It means to sacrifice your time and resources for the benefit of others without wanting anything in return. On Sewa Day, thousands of good-hearted people across the world come together to perform Sewa and experience the joy of giving in its truest sense.

Radhika helped prepare over 300 summer food hampers for children less fortunate than her. INCREDIBLE!

She's definitely been putting her St Bernard's values into ACTION! It's what she is about!

And yes, she got to meet the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Birmingham.

    WELL DONE RADHIKA
