    WEATHER, WEATHER, WEATHER

It's a little chilly out there so please make sure your child is well wrapped up as they venture to school.

At this time of year, sometimes the weather can have a major impact on school establishments up and down the country. Occasionally, school establishments have to unfortunately close for a period of time, generally for health & safety reasons because of a heavy snow fall. It's certainly not ideal but sometimes it has to happen.

If the Authority has a blanket closure of school establishments because of weather, you will be notified via the following correspondence: the school mobile app, school website home page, MCAS email. Word generally gets around pretty quickly about school closures!

If St. Bernard's is forced to close for weather related health & safety reasons (or school related heating problem issues), again you will be informed as soon as possible via the same correspondence. Mr. Foley, in full consultation with The Chair of The Governing Body, will make a decision in the best interests of all the children, staff and visitors to the school site.

Thank you parents. Let us hope of course it does not happen because we know it can be incredibly disruptive for families.
