It is a truly shocking and upsetting event, and our thoughts and prayers are very much with the family of the boy so tragically killed. 

Many of our older children will be aware of this, will understandably be worried and will have many questions.

We will do our best in school to support them as sensitively as possible.

Lots of our children in Year 6 do walk home by themselves, we urge parents to speak to them about going straight home as quickly and as safely as possible.
