Y5 EXPLORING the LOCAL OUTDOORS12 March 2025 (by admin) |
Mrs. Wright & Mr. Breslin will be venturing far and wide...to horizons new (Moseley Bog).
Dear parents,
As part of our Y5 learning in Geography this half term, we will be going out to Moseley Bog on a couple of occasions. The first will be this Thursday, 13th March, for a short walk and the second will be on Thursday 10th April on a tour provided by the Friends of Moseley Bog.
The children will be wearing their PE kits on both of these days so they just need to make sure they have a suitable coat and footwear (normal PE trainers are fine). As it is a very local outing, there is no need for you to give specific consent. We are looking forward to exploring the local area and we thank you for your continued support.

Exploring new horizons in the world famous Tolkein land of Moseley Bog...
“It was a kind of lost paradise. There was an old mill that really did grind corn with two millers, a great big pond with swans on it, a sandpit, a wonderful dell with flowers, a few old-fashioned village houses and, further away, a stream with another mill” – J. R. R. Tolkien.
