HAPPY HOUSE POINTS in SCHOOL...we're off and running!

    21 January 2026 (by admin)

The HAPPY HOUSE POINTS challenge 2026 is off and running! All about challenging the children to be the best they can possibly be! Aim HIGH...make the DIFFERENCE...be the DIFFERENCE!

This week, we launched our new house points system at St Bernard’s. Our house points system aims to promote positive behaviour, teamwork, and school values. It encourages our pupils to strive for excellence, collaborate effectively, and take pride in their achievements.

At Bernard's, every pupil and staff member is assigned to a House upon starting at school. The House System is designed to embody the values and ethos of our school and is an integral part of our school community.

We believe our new house system, along with other ambassador roles such as school council representatives, empowers our pupils to have a meaningful voice in school- wide decision-making. The house system allows for the promotion of pupil’s responsibility through the newly appointed roles of house captains and vice-captains.

One of its greatest strengths is the opportunity it provides for pupils of all ages to work together. This creates a cohesive environment where friendships and collaboration thrive, regardless of age.

Our school house system also strengthens connections between pupils and staff, fostering a sense of belonging. It encourages interaction across year groups, from the youngest to the most senior members of our school, while nurturing a friendly competitive spirit.

Staff will be awarding house points based on our set of criteria based on excellent behaviour, effort, teamwork, and participation in school events.

You can view the house points you child is receiving by logging on to www.primarylearningzone.com using the login details shared with you on MCAS.
